About Kirti Acharya

Hello and Namaste,

My name is Kirti Acharya. I was born and educated in Bombay before I migrated to New Zealand in 1989. I have been living in Palmerston North with my wife and two children for the last 23 years.

I gained valuable experience working as a marketing representative for various products in India before migrating to New Zealand. I also achieved my B.A. Degree in Sociology while living in India. Prior to entering Real Estate, I ran our family business with Indian restaurants in Rotorua, Taupo, Palmerston North and Feilding.

In 2003 I became a real estate sales consultant selling residential properties for five years until 2008 when I needed to devote more time to the expansion of our restaurants.

We sold our restaurant business in 2016 which allowed me to further my studies in real estate and to complete the National Certificate to become a licensed Real Estate Salesperson under the REAA 2008. This qualification enabled me to follow my passion and re-join the residential sales team in Palmerston North.

I speak and/or understand English, Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Panjabi, and Urdu languages. I understand the cultural values and background of people coming from my part of the world who are increasingly migrating to New Zealand. I have a good understanding of the Kiwi and western ways of life as well which stands me in good standing in the real estate industry having the benefit of understanding both worlds.
